Fashion is creative, always changing and a form of art, to others it is a religion. To me I use fashion to express myself and also to show my personality. The continued self-reinvention of the fashion world, and the fast pace at which it evolves, manifests itself in the pages of our magazines, newspapers and on our computer screens. I am eager to learn more, from the hands-on design and creation, through to the theory and history of fashion which will help shape my future work and give me a depth of knowledge. Being able to study fashion at MMU, will not only give me the opportunity to excel in the subject, but will really take me where I want to be in life.
I am a very self-motivated person, who thrives to be the best in every subject area. So far I have received top grades for all my work and some good positive feedback from my peers and tutors. I have an excellent attendance record and I am very punctual. I can work within a group effectively and I have very good communication skills when working with others. I can work individually and can present my work very well to a group. I manage my time effectively and can meet deadlines when required.
Ultimately working for Miss Selfridge for 3 years has given me first-hand experience in the daily operations of the fashion retail sector and confirms my commitment to a career in fashion. I aspire to one day, play a major role in fashion - in an industry that inspires many and influences millions of people...whether they realise it or not.
